Will a 'President Musk' determine the fate of free speech, democracy and global warfare?
Jason Tanner has spent a large part of his career-to-date helping to create, maintain or strengthen the brands of the organisations he's had the pleasure to work for. These include the National Trust, BBC, the former CSV volunteering and training charity now known as Volunteering Matters and Question One, the entertainments company.
The organisations on paper seem quite varied so it was an interesting exercise trying to think of a brand image that made sense for my wide-ranging experience and current activities as a freelance operator and management consultant.
But there are a couple of aspects that are common to all my roles and they include communications and location. Both have been common to everything I have done whether broadcasting, defending free speech or promoting conservation, heritage, democracy, London or the extraordinary impact of volunteers in the UK and beyond.
The solution was very simple in the end and a speech bubble globe motif I bought from an existing on-line catalogue of designs became the backdrop of all the design variations I went on to evolve as a very amateur designer.
The 'globe speech bubble motif' was sourced by Jason Tanner to reflect the communications thread throughout all of his specialisms, career, campaigns and enterprises
The biggest evolution of the concept was the Defend campaign for free speech. Defend's range of logos and straplines is here
